Job Description

Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Tech II with a well known industry leader in Maplewood, MN

As a Lab Tech II you will:

• Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and experiments on industrial products, following established protocols and procedures
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate multiple pieces of equipment used in the preparation and testing of abrasive samples
• Prepare and characterize samples and resins using prescribed formulations and test methods while adhering to strict safety guidelines
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data accurately and efficiently
• Document and report test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during testing

This is a full-time contingent opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 2 years working in a laboratory setting in a private, public, government, or military environment.

Preferred skills:

• Strong technical and/or mechanical background
• Experience with pilot or production manufacturing equipment
• Familiarity with safe chemical handling practices
• Hands-on, self-starter approach
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Comfort working with equipment user interfaces and Microsoft Excel
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Reliability and consistency

Pay Rate: $25.00-29.00 per hour

• Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
