**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Evening Shift **Description:** For this Porter position we are looking for a candidate who is willing and able to work the afternoon shift (12pm-8:30pm), and who has experience in a dish room so you can be our expert for pots and pans. Summary In compliance with regulatory requirements, performs a variety of departmental sanitation functions and tasks within the Food Services Department, according to established department and hospital procedures and policies. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). + Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, lift, push, and pull heavy and awkward weights using carts and other conveyances. + Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of hospital personnel, outside customers and community groups. **Duties / Responsibilities:** + Responsible for cleaning and sanitation of pots, pans, and utensils, and maintaining a clean and neat work area. Responsible for surface cleaning Food Service areas: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing of all surfaces by hand and utilizing commercial cleaning equipment. + Responsible for assisting in tasks related to receiving, storage, disbursing, and delivery of food and supplies. + Perform "deep cleaning" and other project work as assigned. + Responsible for trash removal and surface cleaning of trash receptacles in Food Services areas including storage, prep, and service areas, customer and physician dining. + Performs other duties as assigned. **Working Conditions:** + Frequent exposure to various temperature and humidity changes. + Frequent lifting from floor to shoulder up to 55 pounds.
