Clinical Support Specialist

Michigan

Pain Management Group is currently seeking a Clinical Support Specialist to join their team in Michigan. The Clinical Support Specialist is responsible for the initial and ongoing training and development of PMG’s partner clinical staff teams on pain management clinic operations, quality, safety and protocol. This position will focus on PMG partnerships in Michigan to provide routine and as needed support, training and guidance on clinical standards, and integrate best practices to ensure high quality care and process execution within outpatient pain management.

  • Pay: $70,000 – $90,000/year, offer dependent on experience

Schedule:

  • Full time
  • Monday to Friday
  • This position requires 50-75% travel, and remaining time is spent working remotely from home. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

The right candidate will have:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Active RN license in the state of Michigan
  • Minimum 5-10 years of nursing or clinical experience, preferably in pain management, outpatient specialty care, or related setting
  • Strong clinical knowledge, including workflows, patient care standards, and compliance requirements
  • Proven experience in staff education, training, mentoring, and reinforcing process adherence
  • Background in program implementation, quality improvement, and clinical operations.
  • Skilled in workflow analysis, problem-solving, and recommending process improvements
  • Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred), Microsoft Office, and other healthcare technology tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with physicians, staff, and administrative teams
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a growing program environment
  • Committed to patient-centered care and continuous operational improvement

Our Clinical Support Specialist will:

  • Routinely shadow in clinic and in procedures to ensure effective process flow and help troubleshoot any issues or concerns
  • Oversee PRN audits, time studies and provider reviews as needed to address any concerns or training needs on site within assigned region
  • Perceive opportunities for improvement and elevate proposed solutions to the RDO to collaborate on process improvements to ensure a unified, consistent, team-centered approach
  • Conduct annual audits with Operations team and follow up on any identified areas for additional training or support
  • Lead through / participate in quarterly manager calls to maintain list of new best practices, share ideas and canvas new topics to ensure consistency and maintenance of standards
  • Lead initial and ongoing training for clinic staff on pain program protocols, workflows, and best practices within the pain program(s)
  • Monitor and reinforce adherence to established clinical and operational processes
  • Support quality improvement initiatives to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality patient care
  • Oversee continuous process improvement and develop supporting materials for clinic processes and daily operations across Michigan sites as needed in collaboration with PMG’s Quality Team
  • While not directly providing patient care, promote and support processes that improve the patient experience and outcomes, and ensure staff are equipped with the tools and knowledge to provide compassionate, high-quality care
  • Generally assist with billing and coding issues as necessary
